6/8/2023 0 Comments Koni rv shocks![]() If you have a Class C, you know what I'm talking about!!! Nice controlled motion and it is quickly damped out. Again, a significant improvement in side to side rolling of the RV. They are entirely mechanical and use some clever engineering to manage their control of low and high frequency displacement of the shock. If you believe Koni's description they are as close to electronic controlled shocks as you can get. Koni has come out with the FSD shocks for 3500s in the last year or so. I finally settled on the Koni FSD (Frequency Selective Damping). In Crow fashion, I started sorting through the internet learning about shocks and parsing through what is out there for replacement. Sort of signalling that they were on the way out. ![]() Got worse the warmer the shocks got when driving. Now with more miles on her, it became apparent that the shocks were beginning to loose it. They work really well and knock off about 95% of the rocking and rolling. Basically to stop the side to side rocking that is endemic to the Sprinter based Class C RVs. I installed Sumo SOLOs front and rear shortly after we purchased Calypso.
